11-13 April 2019 in Bled, Solvenia, was held the XII International Conference on Safety and Security Systems on Transport. The conference organizers were JSC NIIAS and Slovenian company Iskratel. The conference continues the tradition of discussing questions of development in the transport sector, considering requirements for safety and reliability, including a broad group of experts from the Russian Academy of Electrotechnical Sciences.

participants in the conference included 60 representatives from science, manufacturing companies, and organizations from Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, USA, and Czech Republic.

The CEO of TGPO Consult, Jennifer Trelewicz, talked about approaches to creating systems for predictive maintenance in civil aviation using techniques from "Big Data". She mentioned that planning MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) in civil aviation directly influences safety and economics of aviatransport. Because of this, modern aircraft have thousands of sensors for diagnostics and monitoring. However, approaches to predictive MRO in aviation are not yet as standardized as in ground transport.
